Al Amerat Cricket Stadium commonly known as Oman Cricket Academy Ground is a cricket ground located in the capital city Muscat, Oman.
It has 2 turfs namely Ministry Turf 1 and Ministry Turf 2. International Cricket Council gave approval for the Al Amerat Ministry Turf 1 In January 2021, to host Test Cricket.
Al Amerat Cricket Stadium is one of the dedicated venues along with 3 other stadiums in UAE for the T20 World Cup 2021 league stage.

In Oman Cricket in July 2008 announced their plan to construct an international standard facility at Al Amarat south-east of the center of the capital city Muscat about 20 minutes drive away from the middle of the town.
The cost of the project was initially estimated to be 2 million Oman rials around 39,21,03,730 Indian rupees (5.2 million USD). The Ministry of Sports Affairs donated the land and the remaining funds were expected to be raised through corporate sponsorship.

Al Amerat Cricket Stadium was inaugurated In October 2012 by the then chief executive of the Asian Cricket Council Ashraful Haque.
Al Amerat Cricket Stadium hosted its first match a club game two months after the inauguration.
In 2015 Floodlights were installed at this venue. Oman Cricket Board later announced its further plans for an indoor cricket academy, construction of the pavilion, an indoor state-of-the-art training facility, and also the headquarters for the Oman Cricket Board. The ground has so far hosted 30 T20Is as well as 4 ODIs as a part of Cricket World Cup League 2.

The Al Amerat Cricket Stadium Pitch is pretty decent and a flat track which assists both the batsmen as well as the bowler, especially the batsmen would love to bat on this pitch as the ball comes good on to the bat.
ICC T20 World Cup 2021
Al Amerat Cricket Stadium will be the host of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 along with the United Arab Emirates.
Following its qualification and confirmation to host the T20 World Cup 2021 the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium turf 1 has undergone numerous major changes such as additional new floodlights, Pavilions. It will expand its seating capacity from 3000 to 4000 with VIP and VVIP seating along with dedicated commentary boxes. The traditional scoreboard is also upgraded to a new digital scoreboard.
The T20 World Cup 2021 will be the first major World Cup event for Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
